Egg Recall Now Expanding More than Half Billion Eggs and Rising

The problem with the salmonella egg is continuing to rise as the number of eggs in the recall has reached half billion, The nationwide investigation by the CDC and other offices on the Salmonella outbreak has expanded. It now includes a second Iowa Farm which is also a source of the contaminated eggs. More than 1,000 people have already been affected by the outbreak and tolls are rising for those who are getting the illness. This number is still bound to increase any moment in any given reports.
Iowa’s Hillandale Farms is now recalling more than 170 million eggs after it went into laboratory tests and is confirmed with salmonella. Wright county egg which is the second farm that is part of the nationwide recall. There has already been 380 million eggs that are in the recall and may reach out 550 million in the end of the week as more potentially tainted eggs may be part of the recall
A spokeswoman from FDA is saying that the two recalls are related and that the type of Salmonella that the eggs contains are both of the same origin which is known to as the Salmonella enteritidis.
This is becoming alarming, for those who are planning to have eggs for breakfast make sure to check if your brands are from Hillandale Farms, Sunny Farms, Sunny Meadow, Wholesome Farms and West Creek. Because these are those of which have been recalled. Products are from April to August.
